NEW SERIES OF GONDOLAS
We are decorating original A.C. Gilbert produced gondola bodies in a variety of popular road names.    We have custom painted and printed original American Flyer bodies that we obtained directly from the A.C. Gilbert factory in New Haven Connecticut when it closed.  Each body is painted in prototypical colors with authentic heralds and markings.  We are using a state of the art production facility.

The graphics are so crisp and clear that even the tiny markings on the car ends are legible ( but you'll need a magnifying glass to read them!) Order bodies only or complete and ready to run cars with your choice of trucks. We sold out of the first New Haven gondola and have issued a second NH Gon with a new car number.  The 2nd and 3rd Gondolas are available now. Our production runs are limited to a few hundred pieces.

NEW SERIES OF REEFERS
We are decorating original A.C. Gilbert produced reefer bodies in the road names originally produced by A.C. Gilbert.  Graphics are printed by use using the original tampo press from the A.C. Gilbert factory. The newly painted ACY Reefers are are now available and  a few Atlantic Coast Lines and Evergreen Reefer are still available. Our supply of reefer bodies is extremely limited-

NEW SERIES OF CABOOSES
Gilbert produced Locos in a variety of road names...but they did not issue cabooses in matching road names. So.... Hobby Surplus is taking original  Gilbert caboose bodies and producing a series of standard A.F. cabooses in road names to match each of the Locos A.C. Gilbert produced. The second set of 3 are available now and some remain from the first set. Our production runs are limited to a few hundred pieces.

The first production run of New Haven gondolas sold out fast.  We have produced a second run printed car number 61072.  These are original Gilbert American Flyer gondola bodies painted black and decorated with prototypical NH red/orange herald and white lettering. Select your choice of trucks:
